But if you you want to have the capability on your own computer, read on.

How to install Farsi input on Windows-XP |
1 - Open
Regional and Language Options from the Control Panel, then go to
Languages Tab.
(Note: if your Control Panel looks different, click on 'Switch to Classic View' to see the picture below.)
2. Check the
option Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages
(including Thai), then press OK button.
Note: Please have your Windows CD ready, because it might need to copy
some files into your system.
3. Click on Details button, then in the Settings tab, click on Add button, as shown below.
4. Under Input language drop down combo, choose Farsi (Persian), and then press OK, as shown below.
5. Now, you have Farsi (Persian) keyboard added, press OK again to have it enabled.
6. You are all set. From now on you will have a Language Bar at the right lower corner of your screen, as shown below.
When you want to write in Farsi click on it and select Farsi. Change back when done.
7. KEYBOARD - Your keyboard layout for Farsi input is shown below. If you would like to change it, download Keyboard Layout Manger (Lite version) and create your own layout.

8. EMAIL - For writing Farsi email, sometimes it might be easier to type it in a word processor (e.g. MS-Word) and then 'CUT' and 'PASTE' into your email.
10. NASTALIQ - If you would like to read and write using Nastaliq you have to install its font first in your computer. From the link below download the font and save it to a temporary location, such as C:\temp. Then go to Control Panel (as in step1 above) and click on the 'Fonts' icon. In the window that opens, go under 'File' and select "Install a New Font...'. Navigate to the temporary location where you saved the download and chose IranNastaliq'. Press OK to complete. From now on you can select Nataliq just like all other fonts available in Windows.
